UPDATE November 20, 2013: A new article has been released showing that UT has sustained low water usage over a four-year period and still uses substantially less water per capita than neighboring schools as a result of the irrigation program implemented by WMI.
September 2, 2012: The University of Texas at Austin started the process of gathering information on how to update the main campus irrigation system in 2008 and completed installtions in 2011. Water Management Inc. was responsible for the development and management of a large water conservation program for over 120 Education and General facility buildings and seven Athletics facilities on the Main Campus and Pickle Research Campus.
